i am new on gather. i am a 29 year old mother of two and wife of one. i live a very simple old fashioned lifestyle. i am, however, not close minded in an old fashioned way. i believe in God and i also believe that it is up to each one of us to have a relationship with Him. i don't like to be judged by others, and i always try my hardest not to judge others (sometimes i fail, because i too am only human). i stay at home with my two girls and homeschool. that is my job, my career if you will. i am pretty good at my job, if i do say so myself....and i just did. my girls are beautiful, sweet, loving individuals. my husband (of 10 years this year) is a strong, handsome, adorable man who is truly my best friend, and sometimes i want to smack my best friend.
basically the reason i am on here...to vent, maybe chat with others about life. i am home with children 24 hours a day....7 days a week.....365 days a year....(ok, exaggerated just a little, but generally speaking, there is usually a child following me to the bathroom) and i could use some adult conversing.
i enjoy reading more than anything probably. once upon a time i had a thought that i might actually write a book, but you know how time changes things and motherhood sometimes becomes more important. i enjoy most writing, but i really enjoy thriller and mystery. my favorite authors lately are lisa scottoline and patricia cornwell. of course i went through the stephen king period, but my favorite book of his was "on writing" were he shares things about his past and how he came up with some of his stories. i just finished reading "a girl named zippy" by haven kimmel. it's about her life growing up in mooreland, in. well mooreland is not very far away from here, and as a child staying with my grandparents always meant a trip through mooreland since they lived only 2 or 3 miles away. it brought back a lot of memories from my childhood, not that i knew the author, but in small towns you don't need to, life is the same for almost everyone. so if anyone has any book suggestions bring it on.
well, that's enough about me for the moment. please feel free to say hello, i am very interested in getting to know and chat with some of you. and if you actually read through this whole thing, i am truly sorry it isn't more thrilling, but thanks for your patience.
