After publishing a link to my article on American Misconceptions about Sweden, I got flooded with emails asking me to write various other articles. I have not gotten to them all yet, but here are links to the ones I have put up so far in response to those requests:
A Swedish Emigrant Confesses: Things I Miss About America - I may rail against many things from America, making it sound like I hate the country of my birth. I do not. There a lot of things I miss about it
European Perceptions About Americans and Why They Have Them - When I moved to Sweden, I found a lot of the residents here and throughout the EU had some funny ideas about what America is like...
American TV in Sweden - The Good, The Bad, and The Downright Ugly - A lot of what the Swedish think about Americans comes from US TV shows...
I promise I'll try to get to the other requests as time permits. And to the one who asked about politics, yes. I am working on an article about Our dear Freddie... but I cannot post that one until my citizenship is solidified. heh. You'll see why once it is up ;)

So you don't get CSI over there? Korea has all three running. Almost any day of the week you can flip around the cable and find it playing. Other than that, it's mostly movies featuring guys with no necks who make witty comments while blowing things up.
It's the same here with languages. My coteacher is fluent in English and French in addition to her native Korean. It's quite commmon to run into a Korean on the street who can translate the Japanese sign into English for you. And in 2 years in Korea, I speak less Korean than the average 3 year old. I'm so ashamed.
Very interesting articles. I don't think I have big enough ones to deal with Scandanavian winters, but I might have to make a point of visiting when I get around to Europe.
You do good work. Thanks for sharing your articlr.
