What's today's weather?

It keeps threatening (and failing) to thunderstorm here.

Hot and muggy but the sun shined all day. (Houston, TX)

I am in Nashville. It is very humid. No rain today at least.

Hot and humid! Typically Texas in June......

Cool and cloudy in NW Washington. I wore my fleece vest. We had a glorious, sunny weekend and now it has cooled off, but it's welcome.

Calm right now but very violent from 3pm-11pm. We are looking at widespread potential for tornadoes in our entire state as well as many neighboring states. Plus high damaging winds and hail the size of a golf or baseball.

Considering the fact that we live in a mobile home this is terrifying news.

Yes, I'm quite worried about it all. I just hope it doesn't hit here because something like that could render us homeless.

A significant severe weather outbreak looms for portions of the Midwest and southern Plains tomorrow.

The outbreak will be a continuation, likely an enhancement, of the nasty storms expected to rumble over the northern and central Plains late today and tonight.

The threat tomorrow, including that of scattered tornadoes, will knife eastward into the Upper Midwest, and southward through Iowa into northern Missouri and eastern Kansas.

There will be no let up in the dangerous weather tomorrow night with the area at risk after dark stretching from Michigan to northwest Texas.

Residents of the Midwest and southern Plains are urged to track this developing situation carefully.

Meanwhile, to the rear of the severe weather, chilly, wind-driven rain will soak the Dakotas and northern Minnesota as a vigrous low pressure center whirls into southwest Ontraio.

High temperatures are predicted to range from the 50s in parts of the Dakotas to the 90s in most of the lower Midwest.
