New Cell Phones

Yesterday,  my husband and I went to the mall to pick up the graduation gift. My husband  had told me a few days ago that he really needed a cell phone for work, but we couldn't really afford one. Well, while we were at the mall, I thought I would shop around for a cell phone plan. I have never had a cell phone, but used his last phone that he had from a job. I loved being able to call home while I was out shopping, etc. So, I really wanted to find a plan where I could have a phone, too.

We ended up going with Cingular. We got the new Sync phones for free. We got unlimited calling to anyone in the same network, unlimited nights and weekends, and no roaming and no long distance. We have 600 minutes between the two of us, and I think that will be plenty. We are going to cancel our landline to keep costs down. We are now in a 2 year agreement, so I hope that we got a good deal. It was much cheaper than all the other plans, and we got free phones and no activation charges so we saved some money there, too. Yea!...my first cell phone ;) 

6/6/07 - I was very pleased to find out today, that everyone on my husbands side of the family (immediate) is on also on Cingular/ATT. What are the chances that we would just happen to pick the same carrier as them! So, now we have unlimited calling to all the people that we call the most and talk to the longest. For me, I am really excited that I will have a way to call my husband when I am up in Maine for 2 weeks in August. YEA!!!
