Loch Ness Monster Or Too Much Scotch?

A lab technician has captured what is being called the most compelling video yet of what many deem to be the mythical Loch Ness monster — so compelling, in fact, that the normally reticent BBC Scotland aired the footage.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this jet-black thing, about 15 metres long, moving fairly fast in the water,” said Gordon Holmes, who took the video on Saturday. “My initial thought is that it could be a very big eel. They have serpent-like features and they may explain all the sightings in Loch Ness over the years.”

I have always believed there is something up there! Or is that down there! It is an amaingly beautiful part of the country as well.

Well, I am sure that there are creatures we have not "catalogued".
My husband is really interested in the whole Loch Ness thing and he was very excited to see that footage.

I think it is very possible that it is an uncataloged creature. Especially now that they are finding so many new creatures under the artic shelf as it melts.

I saw that. It was quite odd, indeed. I think that they will never quite know what exactly is in that lock until it is drained, which will most likely never happen.

I spent a lot of time around the Loch when I was a girl as my father's family home was on the lochside. We spent a lot of time swimming in its freezing waters when we were children.

I saw nothing moving in the loch, apart from us kids and fish...!

The only odd thing I've ever spotted is the nutters sitting on the loch shore, with cameras trained, hoping to catch site of Nessie.
Makes you wonder doesn't it!
I will definitely pop over to the bbc and have a look.
my grandparents visited loch Ness in the sixties(born and bred Scots) and I remember them telling me they could have taken a video of something in the Loch then, but it was the one time they never took their old movie camera with them.

Old nessie rises again.

mmm fistly theres not enough fish in l/ness to sustain a creature of the size of a so called monster.there is plenty of things that make weird movements in the water.
i/e otters,seals,salmon, but to say a mythical creature exisists mmm its a
romantic thought .why that 1 loch out of hundreds mmmmmmmmm.?
