I am currently reading "Your Gut is Still Not Smarter Than Your Head" How Disciplined, Fact-Based Marketing Can Drive Extraordinary Growth and Profits by Kevin Clancy and Peter Krieg.
MY BOOK!!! Seriously. I was JUST reading Hollywood Sinners into a microphone plugged into the back of my computer for a podcast at Podomatic. Woot. I sound like a dork reading to the slow ones in Mr Roger's class, but I don't care.
Last book I read - Visions in Death - J.D. Robb Now reading - Obsession - Jonathan Kellerman Next in line and should start Monday or Tuesday - The Good Guy - Dean Kontz (I won an autographed copy here on gather) after that - The 6th Target -James Patterson Whitethorn Woods - Maeve Binchy - A great writer who writes about family life in Ireland
I just finished Michael Connelly's Lost Light this morning.
Now I have to get to reading and reviewing "Raw Food Life Force Energy" by Natalia Rose. It is going to be tough because the subject is new to me and when flipping through I noticed a lot of recipies with Beets. Not my favorite food by far!
I just finished "Just Call Me Mike" by Mike Farrell who played BJ Hunnicutt on M*A*S*H and enjoyed it. Now, I am reading "Possible Side Effects" by Augusten Burroughs.
The last book I read was "Snowflower and the Secret Fan," by Lisa See. It is a superbly written book, and although it was placed in the 19th century in China, it brought to mind many questions about the way women are treated this very day, and how important friends can be to women.
Just finished "The Crazy Years: reflections of a Science Fiction Original" By Spider Robinson. It's a collection of op-ed columns that Robinson wrote for 'The Globe and Mail' (aka Canada's national newspaper) between 1996 and 2004. It give a sometimes sobering more often humourous look at how an American living in Canada views the world and current events. Robinson is one of my favorite Canadian SciFi authors.
Currently 'reading' (it's an audio book) "The Mile High Club" by Kinky Friedman
Just finished Black Echo by Michael Connelly. Halfway through an advance copy of a very interesting book called Samedi the Deafness. After that, I have some disinfo.com fall releases I have advance copies of ... busy.
I`m reading several books. Why by Anne Graham Lotz,The Secret place by Dr.Dale A. Fife,The Makers Diet by Jordan S. Rubin,Addicted To Shopping by Karen O`Conner Everyday With Jesus Bible.
Origin by Diana Abu-Jaber--it will be available June 25. It's a tightly woven mystery novel. The writing is so well done that the book is a moment by moment experience. The revelations that occur as the mystery is solved are a bonus to reading the book rather than a driving element.
I'm currently Labyrinth by Kate Mosse--so far it's kept me turning pages. It's a grail story and a fantasy novel.
i am re-reading Night..and just started Jihad by Ahmed Rashid..fascinating book..his book Taliban is a masterpiece..i strongly recommend it to anyone interested in Afghanistan/Central Asia
I just finished Night and I'm about to start on a new one The Town At The End Of The World. Water For Elephants was good, so was A Little Love Story. Lisey's Story turned out to be pretty good.
Just reread "The Eyre Affair" by Jasper Fforde. Great fantasy book about the world of fiction. Lots of fun. On to "Lost in a Good Book", the next in the series.
I am usually in the middle of several books. Right now I am reading 'The Carrot Principle,' by Gostick and Elton, 'Success Principles' by Jack Canfield and 'Five Lesson a Millionaire Taught Me About Life and Wealth' by Richard Paul Evans
Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert was the last one I finished (took me 4 months). It was a hard slog.
Currently reading Orpheus Lost by Janette Turner Hospital, and nearly finished.
I have Jodi Picoult's Vanishing Acts on my bookshelf (with about 10 others) waiting to be read. Not enough hours in the day to do everything, including reading!
The Straight Girl's Guide to Sleeping With Chicks. by Jen Sincero. My wife and I both read it. I know I'm not the target market for this title but it was a lot more fun than a standard "couples manual." Great tips!
