I'll start first with a disclaimer. I don't really measure when I make most things. I throw stuff in until it looks and tastes balanced. I'll estimate here. Keep in mind proportions, when I say a 1/3 cup spinach and 2/3 cup frozen blueberries, I'm using aout twice as many blueberries as spinach.
Gretchen's Super Power Smoothie
ten ice cubes
4 ounces of soft tofu (or yogurt)
heaping scoop of Vanilla Slimfast powder
splash of cold water
Run blender on ice crusher mode and on high speed for a few seconds
Add fruit/veggies -- reblend after every 2 ingredients
2/3 cup blueberries
1/3 cup spinach
1/2 cup raspberries
1/2 cup of pineapple
1 banana
1/2 cup shredded raw carrots
3 tablespoons ground flaxmeal
If smoothie seems too thick at any point, add a splash of cold water
Mine filled the blender, so we all get around 14 ounces of smoothie, I believe. One of my favorite things about this is that I can sneak in things like veggies and flax -- and tofu, and the kids will still drink it because the fruit overpowers it. I also like that it is almost completely vegan (the exception is the Slimfast powder that has some milk in it). I do eat fish and poultry, but try not to more than a few times a week.
What's in your smoothie?

Berries, berries, and berries; doesn't matter what kind, a little honey, sometimes plain or vanilla yogurt.
