Terrorists are Our Greatest Danger?

We hear tons of talk of terrorism these days; The War on Terror, Homeland Security, we must be ever vigilante and give up our freedom to protect ourselves from Islamic Fundalmentalist. Well lets look at some numbers. A report on terrorist attacks in the EU for 2006 has some interesting numbers. They divided the types of attackers up into the following categories: Islamist, Seperatist, Right-wing, Left-wing, and Other. Of the 498 incidents how many would you guess were Islamist?...50?...100?....400? How about 1! Thats right! In the whole EU, ONE Islamist attack out of 500! Well 498 anyway. A whole .2% of attacks. I think we better tripple the Homeland Security budget! The Islamic jihad is going to get us all any day now.
