Okay, so I've been looking at this tree for years now and I'm still clueless as to what it is. It's on the Cliff Walk in the Salve Regina University area. I can't find this in either the Audubon tree field guide for the Eastern region or in the Audubon wildflowers field guide for the Eastern region. So, all you nature geeks out there, does anybody know what this is.
Here's a shot of a branch bearing the bell-shaped blue flowers.
And here's a wider shot of the tree so that you get a look at the leaves and buds.
And of course take a look at the full-size versions to get a better look.
So, anybody have a clue????
