The Most Amazing Thing...

Sometimes, life gets really busy and we forget to look around us at the beautiful and amazing things that are there every single day. For example, I was on my way to work yesterday and for some reason, I took a moment to notice a field that I pass every day. I was so awestruck by what I saw that I had to stop. The fog was lifting and coming out from the edge of evergreens was the most amazing and glorious site. It was a 8 point buck with a beautiful, near perfect rack of horns and you could see the quivering leg muscles. He looked absolutely majestic. If I had had my camera with me, it would have been a vision. After words, I felt a calm come over me and I realized, these moments are all around me, all around us, but we forget to see them. I see a lot of them on the Gather images for me. I need to carry my camera around to catch my own.

Just last night our hotel overlooked a golf course that was rolling hills. There were no golfers, and it didn't even look like a golf course...it was just beautiful.

I love to see deer. It is nice to live where they actually visit the yard from time to time.

lots of deer around here.
Felt sorry for one the other day..I was in an area that developed into a ritzy lakefront area almost overnight, leaving the deer no where to go. Anyway, there was a whole herd of them where I was, and they scattered when they seen my vehicle. One was looking back at me and running and wound up running right into the side of a house.
He didn't appear to be hurt, but I'll bet the people inside wondered what was going on....lol.

Every day we drive a highway that was cut out of the hills around St. Louis. The layered rock is very colorful and the jagged cuts and crumbles give it character. Growing out of every crevasse, crack, nook, and cranny are trees and bushes. Soon, the foliage will turn colors and drift away. . . but even while its green, it's a sight to behold.
