I allready posted this on Tiffany's page but I am re-posting it here for this group.
My pregnancies have been very difficult but I will try to keep it short.
My husband and I were told by doctors that we would not be able to have children unless we did invetro fertilization. So lo and behold I got pregnant after 6 years of trying without invitro! Everything went fine until week 18. One morning, I woke up and the bed was wet because my amniotic sac had broken. I went to the doctor and they could not save her. I gave birth and she was born stillborn. They said I had what was called an incompetent cervix. That means when the baby starts to gain some weight I just open up without contractions. So I had lost my mucus plug and the bag broke.
Two years later I was pregnant again. They said if I were to get pregnant that I would need what was called a cerlage. It sews the cervix shut until the baby is ready to be born. So did the procedure but it failed at around 20 weeks. I was in the hospital for a month before my little girl was born. She was 1lb 4oz. They asked me if I even wanted them to try to save her because most micropreemies die in the first week, and if they do live, they have major problems like blindness, deafness, cerable palsy and the list goes on! I said yes of course! I am glad to report that 3 years later she is doing fine. The only problem she has is a little speech delay but she is making strides everyday and she is a fighter!
Then another two years went by and I was pregnant again and I did the procedure again but this time it worked! I made it to 37 weeks and had a beautiful little boy at 6lb 7oz.
It is going on 2 years since I had him so I guess I'd better watch out! :-)

I would have slapped that medical 'professional' and told them to shut up and do their job of saving lives.
Sorry to hear about your first loss and your difficulty in carrying. But what blessings you have!
I have no doubt that your little girl will be successful and overcome any challenges presented before her.
My next pregnancy they did the cerclage that you had but they put in a double stitch thank GOD. At 28 weeks one stitch broke and the other held until 36 weeks when I had a scheduled c-section. My daughter was 6 lbs. 13 1/2 ozs.
When I had my next pregnancy they discovered that I had no outer cervix left. The previous cerclage tore what I had left of an outer cervix so that I had none left. I had to have an abdominal cerclage at 13 weeks. They actually remove your uterus from your body to put the stitch up high on your cervix. I had gestational diabetes with this one also. I had a scheduled c-section at 35 weeks and my son was born healthy but small. He weighed 5 lbs. 9 oz. I had him 10 days after I turned 40.
Needless to say I had my tubes tied because I truly believe another pregnancy would have killed me.
I'm glad you were both able to have a family though...even though my kids were a royal pain at times, I can't imagine life without them.
