The Lovely Carol who runs the Birthday group, that she publish Questions she has asked the birthday person up here... I have taken the questions and answers I have submitted her to create an article and I have made an article for my self.. Since I figure not all my connections are hers, nor in her group... So I figured its just another way how to get people to see more info on me.. :o) Also, I am right now only submitting these article to a few groups that I know it fits... Which is like a handful. Now if you think it belongs in your group as well.. Please let me know so I can edit the groups, and add yours... Also, due to this, the article will ask everytime it is in a moderated group to reaccept it. Please bare with me, and accept it each time it comes in if you group is moderated. Thanks. ~~ Felicia
1. Tell me a little about yourself; Are single, married, have children, Grandkids, where do you live?
Well I am currently kind of single, but in a relationship... Most of the lovely people on Gather, know about my situation. They know how I have been in love with this special person in my life. His name is Joshua, or Josh. He is my best friend. He is also probably one of the very few people who are not blood related who have dealt with so much relating to my diabetes. Everything from all my mood swings to my second seizure, which he found me having on Jan 14th of this year. He has stuck by me through so much. Now I say I am single, because up until Tuesday night, I have seen his writings say "I love you", but yet to ever hear him say it. On Tuesday night, he told me "I love you". As well since he has come home from Basic Training which he graduated from on May 4th, 2007 he has been more sweet. Now I am not saying he was not before. It just seems more to me, which is totally awesome.
In regards to having kids, I am turning 27 years old and still with out children. Now I am not saying ooo I really want one at this moment. Honestly, I would eventually love to be a mother, though I can say right now with everything else going on in my life. I am kind of happy I have yet had a child. Though I do believe I have so much love in my heart when I am ever blessed with becoming a mother I will be a great loving mother, or at least I hope I will be. Honestly I would love to have two children a son and daughter. Now if I was unable to have one of each. I would be happy with what ever I am blessed with. Though my grandfather says I will be having twins. Hey if I do, please let me go back to my body that I had before having them, as well can I have two healthy children than. I would love them no matter what. I am just honestly afraid due to my health and all the mistakes/complications I have caused my diabetes to have I will be able to not cause problems for my children.
I also currently live in North Andover, MA. I have lived here now for the last 14 years since my last official move back in 1993 from Governors Island, NYC, NY. Although, for 6 months during June 2001 to Dec 2001. I kind of lived in 2 places at once... I still considered my address in North Andover my address, since on occasions I would return home on the weekends, but I was as well living outside of Boston, MA as well. In a section called East Boston, MA. Now this is also where Boston Logan Airport is located if anyone was curious. As well, I have lived in technically 6 different states in my short life so far. Oregon, California, Hawaii, back to California, North Carolina, New York, Massachusetts.
2. Do you work outside the home and if you do what do you do and for how long. Maybe you may want to list several jobs you had in your life time.
Do I currently work, actually no I do not. Although in my short life so far I have held over 18 different jobs, or I should say I have worked at least 18 different positions, or times. Meaning. I might have worked for McDonalds, in North Andover twice, but one time was just as a Night Grill position, and the second time could have been as both a Night Grill and a Cashier position. The thing is though there could have been a year between each of those times working for that place. Now I have done everything from: Cleaning people houses; working Dunkin Donuts; being a cashier at Stop & Shop, McDonald's, CVS, and more; I have worked at Lord & Taylors, Lerner's New York, Victoria's Secret, CVS, Bertucci's, McDonald's, Stop & Shop, Holiday Inn, etc.; I have been a Night Auditor, to a Secretary; I have done Data Entry at the IRS. So I can honestly say I have numerous skillful talents since each of these you have to have numerous and different skills to perform to par to hold them done. I just seem to have bad luck with jobs due to my Diabetes. Unfortantly it likes to get in the way of me being able to perform to my fullest.
3. How long have you been writing? Do you write professionally? Have you been published if so where?
I currently do not write professionally. I have been published once when I was in second grade. My second grade class all had our writing published in a book. I wish I could remember what book it was but I cant. I just remember the teacher telling us we were going to be published. Now this could be a foggy memory I have from my childhood. I was in a coma almost 14 years ago... So there are still things that are foggy. But this I remember very vividly.
Now I have been writing honestly since I could or was taught. I tend to write more for myself than anyone else. What I mean is... Even on here you will notice some of my work is just my thoughts that have had. Or I was writing something to someone. I honestly hate being told I need to write something even for school. I have tried to keep journals. Which have helped at the moment or later down in life.
4. What first inspired you to write?
Honestly nothing have persay ever inspired me to write. It just sometimes helps at the current moment to get over what is going on in my life.
5. What are your hobbies?
My hobbies are clipping coupons, crocheting, hanging out with friends, going to parties, listening to music, cooking when I get the chance for other people, and going bowling (not candle stick for those new englanders, but TEN PIN, or aka BIG BALL bowling). There are probably other hobbies just cant think of any right now... :o) Oh wait signing up for FREEBIES...
6. What are some of the things you like e.g. walking in the rain (name at least 2 things)
Spending time with Josh, and Mathematics... Meaning I love being able to attempt math, because even at first if I do not understand or know how to do it. I know I am learning something that will be used later on in my life.
7. What are two of your pet peeves, e.g? people who are constantly talking on a cell phone
Being surprised when meeting people... Especially meeting other females... I tend not to get along with a good group of females... Sorry but we are evil... And there are alot of them no matter how nice they seem, they are really out there trying to achieve what you have... And that really annoys me.
Also, being lied to... Especially straight to my face.
8. What social issues concern you and why?
Currently one major social issue that concerns me is the simple fact that people need to stop being so lazy... Type 2 Diabetes used to be a very limited amount of people it effected. Currently Diabetes as a whole is a world wide epidice (sp???). Type 1 Diabetics like my self can not control the fact they will die with it. Type 2 Diabetics can control if and when they will have it. Meaning if someone is 400 lbs and doesnt do anything except eat junk food, they can start exercising and fix their diet and lose the weight and not have type 2 any more. But as me... I have to take an insulin shot for the rest of my life. No matter what I eat I have to calculate a insulin dose. Simple fact is type 2 you eat too much that your pancreas does not produce enough insulin for what you consume. A type 1 their pancreas does not produce anything so no matter what they have to inject a synthetic insulin in to them.
9. Briefly talk about one or more important events that already transpired in your life?
1. Graduating High School on time. (Due to my health in high school I failed my freshman year of English. I was orginially a year behind, towards the end of my junior year I had to convince the school board I could handle both junior and senior English in the same year. Luckily they believed in me, and allowed me to. This resulted in me trying my hardest, and there were many times I honestly doubted myself, but by the skin of my teeth I feel I was successful enough to pass all my classes, and graduated on June 5th, 1998, from North Andover High School, instead of having to wait an additional full year and not be able to graduate with my class. )
2. Finally meeting Josh. Josh and I have known each other for close to 4 years before we actually met. We even knew friends of each others, but had not ever had a chance to met one another. Finally during the Summer of 2004 I put my foot down and said I finally want to meet you. If I had not put my foot down than I highly doubt I would have finally gotten the chance to met the person who I call my best friend. Someone who at times is more my family than other people in my own family who are blood. He is also the only person I can say I have ever been in love with. He has been there for me for so much. He is literally my rock.
3. The day I decided to attend college again after being away from school for 6 years. I say this due to the fact, when I originally attended college I had the hardest time with it, I had a GPA that was in the 2's. I struggled with everything. Now since being back, I have been able to focus more on school. As a result, I have achieved numerous things, from being on the National Dean's List, being honored by being accepted and named Vice President of Alpha Beta Gamma (an honor society for Business Students), asked to be part of the Student Leadership program, which you can only be accepted if you have the grades for it; as well being honored to receive an award for my Excellence in Statistics. As well currently my cumulative GPA is a 3.49.
10. What is the one thing that you would like to do that you have not already done?
I am honestly looking forward to the day I am lucky enough to give birth, well also being pregnant. I am just worried, due to my health issues with my diabetes, and it still not being so controlled... I would cause major health problems to the child I might one day carry. Also, I just hope I make a great mother.
1. What is your favorite birthday memory that either you had personally or shared with another? please tell us about it.
Well parents gave me my Winnie the Pooh Charm that has him graduating, it says the year I graduate high school. See I graduated high school 4 days after my 18th birthday. Plus I love Winnie the pooh so much. It was so touching because every time I wear it, it reminds me of how much work I put in to graduate high school with my senior class.
12. If you could have any birthday wish come true, real or fiction, possible or impossible what would it be and why?
Honestly to have really Type 1 Diabetes (Insulin Dependant Diabetes) Cured... Or at least a cure for it. Especially since you cant currently one day have type 1 and one day not have it.
13. You are also entitled to submit one of your writings so that others will have a chance to read and comment and you can gain more points. Please post the link here:

14. Janelle has graciously offered to provide you with your favourite song for you birthday please tell me what it is here name the title and singer if you have it:
Heaven by Dj Sammy
Here are the Lyrics
Baby you're all that I want.
When you're lying here in my arms
I'm finding it hard to believe
We're in heaven.
Oh, thinking about all our younger years,
There was only you and me,
We were young and wild and free.
Now nothing can take you away from me.
We’ve been down that road before,
But that's over now.
You keep me coming back for more.
Baby you're all that I want.
When you're lying here in my arms
I'm finding it hard to believe
We're in heaven.
And love is all that I need
And I found it there in your heart.
It isn't too hard to see
We're in heaven.
Now, nothing could change what you mean to me.
There's a lot that I could say
But just hold me now,
Cause our love will light the way.
Baby you're all that I want.
When you're lying here in my arms
I'm finding it hard to believe
We're in heaven.
And love is all that I need
And I found it there in your heart.
It isn't too hard to see
We're in heaven.
Now our dreams are coming true.
Through the good times and the bad
I'll be standing there by you.
(We’re in heaven.)
And love is all that I need
And I found it there in your heart.
It isn't too hard to see
We're in heaven.

well.
Thank you hun for the birthday wishes... and the kind words... Thank you, also for the comments. :o) You rock... :o)
I am the same, worked alot of different positions and have a few skills. None of mine are "formal education" so on resumes, they do not mean squat.
from one crocheter to another-- Here's To You!
I'll be back tomorrow. I'm going to bed now. Just wanted to stop and say Happy Birthday to you.
I really enjoy getting to know more about others. While I don't always comment on your things, I always read them. I'm not good at commenting, sometimes. I'm afraid that I will sound stupid or something, I don't know.
Anyways, I hope that you have a wonderful Birthday!!!
Thanks for sharing! It was good to get to know you a little better and "catch up" with what's been going on with you.
thanks so much for sharing so much about yourself!
I feel like I know you so much better. I'm glad you have Josh in your life!
As far as having a baby, don't give up yet.
I'll tell you about my pregnacy as a type 1 diabetic if you want.
Just make sure you have a specialist who understands your type 1, that makes a world of difference.
Happy Birthday!!
Have a wonderful birthday!!!!
have a nice night!
Ten unsolicited points from the world's worst connection. Merry whatever you celebrate!
