She's in her box with her kitten right now. And SHE DOES NOT WISH TO BE DISTURBED!. She's never hissed at me until I came at here with the antibiotic ointment, and She let me know she was having none of that! Thanks Ron.
I dont know Jen, she doesnt leave the yard, she's always there when I open the door to the carport. I think it may have been a stray dog that came in the carport and she was trying to protect her kitten. Since I posted this article I found the rest of her tail in the carport. Poor little Fuzzy, she's the sweetest little cat. Thanks for commenting Jen :)
Ouchie, poor baby. Could have been a stray dog after her...or a wild critter rooting around for food. Chances are, she was protecting her kitten and got the short end of the stick...or tail, in this case. Sounds like you're going to need a little help in treating her so things heal and infection doesn't set in. She might not like it, but she's going to have to have something up on it...even though she'll probably lick it right off. Hopefully, it will be so bad-tasting, she'll leave it alone so she heals.
Poor Fuzzy. That injury looks like it might need to be bandaged. I hope her rabies vaccination is up to date. When my Merlin got attacked recently, the wound got infected which meant a vet visit and antibiotics. Keep us posted about Fuzzy's condition.

That is absolutely horrible! I can imagine how much it hurts. More than likely, she was trying to protect her baby and whatever it was that she thought was after baby, "ripped" it off. I think you're smart calling the vet. You certainly don't want her to develop an infection. Please keep us posted.

Hi Liberal Joe, What happened to your dog icon? I think it must have been a tomcat because something had also scratched her kittens eye, and as gross as this sounds, I found the tip of her tail in the carport. Fuzzy and her kitten are doing great, thanks for your comment.
Ouchie :-( that looked painful. My own Merri bear (doggie) has a cut on her paw. I'm beginning to wonder if she got bit by a turtle, because after I noticed she was bleeding, she kept going back to the water, digging and pouncing at things, then picking up rocks and bringing them to shore...
Gerald, I found her like this on 5/31, she is doing much better and so is her kitten I think a tomcat got after the kitten and there was a heck of a fight! I found the end of Fuzzy's tail in the carport. gross! but I'm glad she ok.
