Finally Cindy Sheehan makes me happy. I won’t lie and say the going away part makes me sad. I’ve long wished she’d go away. But, she finally says something that makes sense and uses it as her parting shot. The problem was she sounded like the sniveling little prissy girl who finally gets dumped by her far more popular friends because she makes them look bad. Let's face it, Cindy was only good for them when she made fun of that geeky awkward George Bush. But she turned on the clique. Anyone familiar with grade school social groupings knows what happens when you engage in that sort of behavior.
Cindy Sheehan, in her own online diary, said that she received scorn and name-calling from the democrats when she started holding them accountable for the same things republicans are held accountable for. After reading that my mind began racing. I finally got Cindy Sheehan. I was like the grinch whose heart grew two sizes that day. Cindy finally said something that I could relate to, and then agreed to go away. I could almost hear the Who's rejoicing down in Whoville. Little did anyone know it was the democrats who were gonna carve the roast beast.
You know who else probably gets you Cindy? Ron Paul. I know after watching the Republican debate and watching Ron Paul I could feel his pain. I got Ron Paul long before I got Cindy Sheehan. Ron Paul was holding everyone accountable for the same things all along. As a libertarian I get Cindy, because Libertarians have long held both parties to the same standards. It’s why Libertarians get their licks from both parties. Now, saying I get Cindy Sheehan doesn’t make me any more convinced she’s not a whack job. I just think now she’s learned her lesson and is going off to sit in the corner and lick her wounds. In a few years someone will dig her up to stir up some controversy.
Everyday Libertarians hold both parties to the same standards. That is why both parties will freely work together to block ballot access to any third party candidate who even looks like he’s going to run for anything above dogcatcher. Don’t take my word, ask libertarians in Ohio why they couldn’t vote for Blackwell, even if he seemed the logical choice for them.
Ron Paul tried to hold the Republican Party to what the Republican Party used to be. That was his mistake. He keeps forgetting why people like him became libertarians in the first place – the constant hypocrisies in both major parties. The republican presidential candidates are trying to get Ron Paul excluded from future debates. I wonder if they realize that a lot of republicans get Ron Paul. And Cindy, if you are out there, I suggest you try and get Ron Paul to. You might find that you can state your case without having half the country think you are a whack job.

Under Ron Paul, that coercive power of government would likely disappear, and so would the cartels (particularly the main cartel; the central banking cartel known as the Federal Reserve). We would finally see REAL free enterprise, not the artificial, government-managed so-called "free trade" we have today.
The mainstream media wants to assassinate his campaign for a few reasons, I think. One is because their major ad revenue comes from the military-industrial complex, and that is another cartel that would perish under Ron Paul's non-interventionist and free enterprise ideals. Another reason is they want a candidate with mega-bucks to spend on TV ads, and those are the big six (Giuliani, McCain, Romney, Clinton, Obama, Edwards). But mostly I think because the masters of the MSM are New World Order advocates, and Ron Paul is ALL ABOUT American sovereignty.
Still, you're probably right about Ron Paul. He's been kicked to the curb by the party, for a few positions that are anathema to a majority of Republican voters. In Cindi's case, she finally criticized the Democrat party, which was a position shared by a majority of Democrat voters. They both went against party dogma, and paid the price.
BTW... do you think she felt sad that her son died? Of course not, she ran out politicized his death. No wonder her husband divorced her, she's a moon bat!
I do agree that it was overdue for Sheehan to take a breather.
But, Kevin, that is just cruel. No matter what one's politics are, you cannot for a second believe that she didn't grieve her child. As for the divorce, it is quite common for couples to divorce following the death of a child, not just those in the media.
Politics, Police, and Policy all stem from the same root word. They mean to "Keep clean" Ask any soldier what policing means.
Politics are for removing corruption from society. Cindy Sheehan is a politician. Her "return" to private life was a result of overwhelming corruption. Her presence produced new networks and groups, and they attracted some old networks and groups. More than a few of the "mature" organizations had reached a stage of corruption that is beyond redemption.
Pay close attention over the next few months to Code Pink, and Thank You Ehren Watada, and a few other groups that were birthed by Cindy Sheehan.
