I just wanted to let everyone know that the family across the street who had the fire Monday morning are doing well. They lost their garage and car, but no one was hurt and their trailer was saved with only cosmetic damage. Melted skirting, scorched siding, and a broken window. They lost their house to a fire almost 3 years ago so this is the second major fire for them (I posted in my previous article that it was less than 2 years ago - sorry for the mistake -- wasn't exactly thinking straight and didn't realize the mistake until much later in the day) If you would like to read my original article, it is simply titled Prayers Needed.
They do have insurance, and the insurance investigator was out today to check the fire site. They are pretty sure that the fire was started from a faulty motor in the old chest freezer they had in the garage. They lost most of what was stored in the garage including many sentimental items still stored in boxes as well as lawnmower, tools and yard and garden items.
They are very thankful that they are all fine and that no one was hurt. Their 2 children (ages 4 and 10) are fine as are their 2 small dogs and 3 puppies (only 2 weeks old).
Sifting through the ashes, they have found a few items that miraculously survived, including their marriage license and wedding video, and some of their photographs.
Right now their biggest concern is about their insurance. Because of the fire almost 3 years ago, they had to carry high risk insurance (even though the fire was no fault of theirs). They said that another 3 months and they would have been able to drop it back to just regular insurance. They are worried that the insurance company might drop them because of the 2nd fire claim, and that if that happens they will have a very difficult time even getting insurance for a while.
Please continue to pray for them. Prayers have helped immensly and been answered already, but they still need prayer as they continue to recover and deal with the cleanup and insurance. Thanks so much to all of you who have prayed for them and continue to do so. God has been with everyone involved the whole time, and we have seen many blessings in spite of this tragedy. I will try to post some of those over the next coupld of days as I can.
Again, thanks everyone!!!
Kristen D.

So I keep praying really hard....I believe God will make this all work out.
We just have to be "patient". mmmmmm sounds firmiliar HUH?
Elizabeth I'm sure it will take a while for them, especially since they were just starting to settle down again after the first fire nearly 3 years ago.
Thanks everyone for your well-wishes and prayers. I know how much they are truly appreciated.
My prayers are with your neighbors during these times!
Thank you for sharing their need!
