Andrea R.
Springfield, Missouri
My friend Andrea is quiet, perfect, and totally in control. She has the perfect family, and a pristine house. At least that's what you would assume from first glance at a homeschool function.
Back to reality, now. My best friend is loving mommy to nine darling obnoxious children. This includes her husband, the two kids, the cats, and the dog. *laugh* She's fun, and boistrous, not afraid to speak her mind, and raring to stand up for what's right no matter the consequences.
She's stubborn, strong, and original, doing calculus for fun, and codeing websites for amusement in her fleeting spare moments. When the Ice storm hit this last winter, she worried about heating the area under her house for the local stray cats so they'd be warm and safe. Caring and generous, she barely has any time for friends, but somehow manages to call you right when you really need someone to talk to.
She's a great ear to complain to, and we sometimes call eachother just to gripe about life, or brag on the kids. Her life abounds with fantastic stories of adventure and mayhem (like that one time, when she licked that cactus...) I truly wish I could spend more time with her, but sometimes life gets in the way. Sometimes caustic, and oft times distracted, I cherish her, and she will always hold a place in my heart.

I am busy trashing my reputation for having it all together. I'll probably live to regret that.
Your friend sounds awesome, it's sounds wonderful to have a friend like that.
It's nice to see her thru your eyes.
thanks for sharing this!

Sorry, I don't know how to make the link live here.
Loved the picture it went so well with the story of an almost overtaken mom, I mean home schooling Nine kids and not even getting paid for it, the simple madness of it! I think I'll follow the link and see just what it takes to live through this! I'm sorry I can't stop laughing over the mental picture and the one you provided as well!
Phillip, The photo is actually her Gather icon. *smile* The pick is of her son a few years back when he decided to stand in the toilet. Being the great mom she is, she left him there, ran for the camera, took the picture, then got him out of the potty. *wink*
