Walnut Orange bread is a new recipe to me. We have only been making it for a few months. My husband loves the orange flavor and he loves walnuts. You do not need a bread machine to make this.
Ingredients
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 large egg
2/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon grated orange rind
1/3 cup orange juice
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
makes 1 loaf
preheat over to 350 degrees.
combien sugar, butter and e4gg in a large bown. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Add milk, orange rind and orange juice. beat on low speed until combined.
Combine flour, walnuts, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl, mix well. Add flour mixture to milk mixture. Stir just until flour is moistened.
Spoon batter into prepared pan. Takes about 50 to 55 minutes to cook.
Ok now here is how I do it. I just through it all in one bowl and mix with blender. I also use small mini loaf pans to make great little snacks. My husband loves walnut so one cup is not enough. I usualy add another 1/2 cup of them. I spray the loaf pans with pam so that the bread doesn't stick. After I take one batch out of the over and drop the loaves on the paper towel, I give the pan a quick wash and respray them with pam again. I do this each time and I have no sticking and the pan is always clean.
