When you want to help, but you can't ... what do you do next?
This dilemma is a situation that can effect us all very deeply.
Especially when it is a close loved one. And, then it can also reach out into our friendships and relationship circles near and far.
I personally see many circumstances swirling around people I know. Wishing I could literally step in and help them out. Resolve their problem right there on the spot. In some way. Or even in some miniscule fashion. Something to alleviate the pain, hurts, and difficulties.
My thoughts often go out to them, and my mind starts all over again trying to figure out a solution. Trying to see in what way I can be there for them.
But sometimes, in fact most of the time - to no avail.
Often they don't want anything from me anyway, except perhaps a listening ear. Or a gentle understanding. But it never seems enough.
What do you do? What answers your conscious, what helps your heart deal in circumstances like this? How do you help, when it seems you really can't help?
