Al Quaida
Austin, I don't agree with you but I can see where your coming from. Just think where this society would be without those corporation? No Internet, airplanes, cars, edible food for the masses and medicine to cure the majority of illnesses. I do think they have too much "say" in what happens but without them this country and many others would fall into 3rd world status while the 3rd world countries would either disappear or create a 4th or 5th world.
I would say Islam is by far the largest and worst terror group on this planet. I see the next "Crusade" like experience in the near future. Islam is violent and will not change or catch up with the times. 9/11 and other larger terror attacks were just a small taste of what is coming.
I say corporations, hands down. Once in international status they can exist so outside the law it's scary. They are more driven by profit and power than any nation or group out there.
There are groups within Islam who kill people, just like there are groups of Christians who kill people, just like there are groups of cats who kill people, just like there are groups of office supply technicians who kill people. Characterizing Muslims, Christians, cats, or office supply technicians as murderers or terrorists is fear-based, bigoted, and intolerant.
Terrorism is defined as: "the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes."
Islam itself does not employ terrorism. Islamic groups employ it, but saying that all of Islam is represented by these groups is like saying all of Christianity is represented by Fundamentalist Christians who advocate violence. It's tricky because many things they have to say are, indeed, very close to the heart of the principles and doctrine, but there are myriad ways to apply that doctrine. The ones who kill simply get the most attention.
As a liberal, I had no idea anyone was frightened of us.
"WE the people" did not put this administration in office. In 2000, the popular vote went to Gore and the electoral vote did too, or would have if Florida had not illegally barred thousands of innocent people, who happened to have names similiar to convicted felons, from voting, had not the ballots in several Florida counties been ridiculously confusing and had not the recounting of the "hanging chads" been stoped by that Republican b**** and had not a Republican Supreme Court upheld her arbitrary decision. Yeah, I guess its the Bush family that scares ME the most!
People who think Islam is a terrorist organization are the same type of people who beat up Muslims on the streets of this country every day because they classify them as terrorists. They've bought into fear the commander guy and his administration wish them to carry with them at all times.
The Lord Is My Shepherd D., didn't someone a few months ago identify George W. Bush as Satan?
I would say the Christian right, who played no small role in King George II being elected our president in 2000 and 2004, are the people who scare me most. They seem to believe they have the coner market on truth and appear to want to turn this country into a theocracy. If they continue to get enough laws passed that favor their positions, we may very well find ourselves living in one. You would think the Puritans had all returned.

It's not a reflection on the general American public. Power, especially without any visible checks to even the most ill-conceived actions or a balancing power on the other side, is frightening. That doesn't make us terrorists - at least not all of us - but the effect can be the same, even we're not as belligerent as we have recently been.
