Tonight, for those of you within driving distance of Minneapolis, I will be playing one short set at a fundraiser for Coffee House Press. This is a big deal, because the last time I played outside the employee cabaret at work was probably back in 1983.
The show will be at the 331 Club, at 331 13th Avenue NE. My three songs will be sometime between 7 and 8 p.m.
Some of you may be interested in this, because you've asked about the songs when I posted the lyrics.
I will be playing Me In Your Eyes first, followed by Easy on the Eyes second. Each of these has only been played in public once.
There will also be a song I have never played in public - a Zeppelin-tinged tune in the Memphis Minnie style called Islands.
I wish there were some way for me to share the audio. There is only one imperfect link out there, where I play an early version of Easy on the Eyes. This is from ten years ago, and really wretched, but hey, it's me.
So, if you can see yourself in Northeast Minneapolis tonight, you'll see a rare event of me on stage, such as I am.

Can't make it but, I'll give my Memphis Minnie 78 a rub for good luck.
Thanks, Danielle. It turned out to be great fun, and a few people were paying attention. That's all I need.
Thanks, Thom. The legs are okay. I'm not sure how that's supposed to work : )
Nana, the link above "I play an early version of Easy on the Eyes" will take you to audio by me. While there, check out Louise's Piano Lesson.
