July 4th - hang out with family, probably have a BBQ Gas prices will affect me this year. We will not travel around our state as much as we normally would.
For the 4th, I'll probably just relax and spend time with friends and family.
As far as gas prices, I wasn't planning on doing much traveling this summer anyway. I have been careful to try and get the most out of my trips when possible. I'll stop by the grocery store on my way home from work instead of waiting till Saturday to make a special trip. Once I'm home, I try to stay home and put off anything until the next time I HAVE to go somewhere.
My mother has already asked me to save the date. She's having a big cookout. I've been using my bicycle a bit more lately so I'm getting some exercise. I wish the prices wern't so high.
The casinos here in town usually have the fireworks, it's too dry in the desert for the public to go out and set anything sparklers or shooters, we'd burn the place down. (Yes, there are wild fires in the deserts, lol) There are lots of things to do here, BBQ's, parties, etc. There is no need to travel except maybe "a pied" with the quail and the road runners to get across the street. (grin)
Probably just spend time with my family, or some part of my family at home. I don't drive, so it only affects where my kids will be taking me, and how much it will cost to take alternative modes of travel.
July 4th...it seems like so far away, yet it is only a bit more than a month away. I don't know where in the world I will be at that time, so I guess I will have to see.
About the gas prices. It affects me every day, and I really keep my driving to a minimum - this will not change just because of summer.

It costs nothing in fuel to use my feet to protest this debacle.

Gas prices won't affect what I do over summer... but it still sucks!
Fuel Prices-- We will not be taking any road trips this year. The cost of fuel is the reason I will not get to see my sister this year.
My summer is usually filled with me riding my bike to most places. that saves alot on gas.
Not much except walk down to the beach to watch the fireworks.
