CarryaBigSticker.com is selling a shirt that has been outlawed in several states, including Oklahoma and Arizona. The shirt is an anti-war protest that contains the names of over three thousand fallen service men and women who have given their lives in the so-called War on Terror. Such laws are bald-faced attempts to curb the First Amendment right of free speech. Because I believe that obedience to such laws gives the government permission to revoke my right of free speech, I ordered one of these shirts today, and will cheerfully go to jail for wearing it, if need be.
At any rate, for those Gatherers who wish to voice their support our remaining troops by bringing them home alive, I thought I'd give you a heads-up.

www.carryabigsticker.com without the "Gather" nonsense in front of it. I attempted a hyperlink but "Gather" in their wisdom won't permit it without automatically adding the "Gather/ prefix . . . so it wouldn't work.

I find it amazing that a law banning a shirt such as this can actually PASS! On what grounds? Wow, we are really playing fast and easy with our Constitutional rights in this country.
The whole thing sounds bogus to me. Of course, I just came back from two trips to the Passport Agent, who sent me home for additional (and unrequired) documentation in order to cover her own behind.
It is an unconstitutional law. At present complaints are being prepared to cite news organizations for announcing the names of the dead, on the grounds that the news is presented for profit. The complaints will fail, they are obviously outside the "spirit" of the law, and, they are counter to the intent of it. But, the intent of the law is to prevent dissent, and as such the law itself will be struck down.
But free speech needs to exist for all for all time, in perpetuity.
Thanks for publishing to the Triple Name Club.
They can't take away free speech!!!!!!

More than 3,400 members of the armed forces have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan since we invaded those sovereign countries. Little has been said, and the media has not published much in the way of pictures of caskets. The power structure does not want us thinking about the body bags. The shirt makes it clear what the price is, by including the names of the dead. The shirt is out-of-date the day it is made because we lose a couple people each day. This is not what the administration wants you to be thinking about. They want to keep it quiet.
Done beating the dead horse now. :-o
