When we moved back to FL more than a year ago, we did not bring alot of furniture with us due to limited space on the truck. Of course, one of the things that did not make it was my free standing jewlery chest that I loved. My earring rack also did not make it. But, my jewelry did. For over a year now, I have had no place to put my jewelry. I have a giant maragarita glass that I picked up at a sale for a dollar that would drape my jewelry on. It was nice but it was only temporary. I have been looking for something to use for a jewelry organizer at each yard sale I have been to. Only recently have I found a few things.
We picked this mirror up at a church sale about a month ago. It was $5. The brass rack on top we picked up at the estate sale this weekend. The knobs we picked up at Home Depot yesterday. I thought they were nice and would go nice with the mirror. I haven't painted it or decorated it because honestly, I like it the way it is. It also easier to see the jewelry that I want to wear.
I have collected costume jewelry for many years. I have some beautiful vintage earrings that are not shown because alot of them are clips ons. This is only a small part of my jewelry collection and I am still holding out for another free standing jewelry box because I still have some stored away in small Rubber maid boxes.
I purchased two frames over the weekend that my husband put screen in for me to use for my jewelry too. I need to get some hooks for the frames to use for the necklaces and bracelets. I will start putting the jewelry I make to sell on one but I don't know yet if I will need one or two frames. Once they are done and filled up I will take pictures of those too.

I like your idea, the mirror is handy!
I love your creativity in combining things in this way.
Thanks for the neat pictures that showed what you did!
Elaine: Thank you. I like the idea of displaying my jewelry. It becomes a piece of art.
Mariana: I am glad you like it. I have tons too and I am not finished yet. I just happened to get lucky with what I found lately.
Michelle: You could also make an earring hanger with a hoop and screen or aida cloth. Those ideas are much to small for me though. I have the frames finished and loaded up you will see how much those will hold. Lucky you that your husband is making your jewelry box. I haven't seen any that I love yet.
Carol: Thanks for commenting.
Larry: Thanks for commenting.
Amanda: Thanks. When I saw the mirror at the sale I could just picture the way I wanted it to look. I am pretty pleased with the way it came out.
Sandra: I am glad you liked it.
Elizabeth: Thank you!
Thank you Lori.
Jewelry is a nice way to adorn the face and neck area.
