Your Favorite 50s, 60s, or 70s Song

C'mon! You can tell us! ;-) What was (or is) your favorite song from the 50s, 60s, or 70s (depending on which decade you were more "in" to music)?

 

I have a ton of favorites from the 70s. Mostly by the Moody Blues, Yes, Guess Who and a few others. One song that comes to mind right now is American Woman by the Guess Who. Not so thrilled about the newer version of it, but it's ok.

well I was born in 71, but I love Elvis, and oldies like "Knock Three Times on The Ceiling" etc... mucis was definitely different back then.

Then disco hit with a vengence and while I did not like it as a pre-teen I love the Bee Gees now..

I had faves in all those decades. Off the top of my head, "Don't Be Cruel" by Elvis in the 50's. In the mid 60's it was "Satisfaction" by the Rolling Stones. I was busy in the 70's and didn't listen to a lot of pop music, so I don't remember anything outstanding, but I think there might have been some Abba songs in there that I really liked.

Favorite 60's song: Sweet Judy Blue Eyes by Crosby, Stills & Nash
Favortite 70's song: ? There were too many songs that I liked in the 70's

born in '56..all time favorite song is "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" The Rolling Stones..
Also like most Motown from late '60's to early '70's

My favorite 50's song is "Pledging My Love" - By Johnny Ace - 1954.
First listened to this song early-mid 1980's, I fell in love with it straight away. It was on my brothers cassette tape of "Christine" the movie soundtrack.
I'm 29 years old and just dig the oldies...I must have been around 5 or 6 when I first listened to Johnny Ace's beautiful ballad.
