Here are the pictures that I promised of my Yo-Yo Quilt. The finished size is 104"x104". That is large enough for a queen sized bed with plenty left tohang over the edge of the bed and cover the mattress. And here I am with my creation!

Thanks!
Thanks Jessie. I am so proud of this quilt because it is my first. Now people are asking if I will sell it! LOL Sorry, but this one is mine! (Giggle!!)
Trish, it took me about a year to complete. I am making two pillows out of the remainder of the yo-yos. I have one completed, but still have to buy a pillow form for the second one.
Don't feel to bad Jennifer. I managed to spend Monday washing fabric so I can get it ironed and cut so I can make two more Yo-Yo Quilts. One for each of my daughters, plus I have to make a quilt for my granddaughter. She started out wanting Spongebob, but now she's into Dora. I think I might just make something girly and be done with it! LOL
Thanks Bob! Even my husband is proud of it and wants to show it off to everyone!
Thanks Audrey. I had my hair cut last summer before school started so I could take care of it easier! I don't look good with long hair, but I was talked into by my husband and my youngest daughter. I cut it as soon as I could! LOL
Very pretty!
It did take a long time to make. Almost a year because when I first started, I wasn't used to hand sewing so my hands would cramp. Plus of course, life intervenes at times so I'd have to put it aside for a while. It took about a year to make.
Jennifer, I love all the colors and patterns that I used in this quilt. I even helped my best friend sew her yo-yos and she had ordered some pre-cut circles from ebay. When I got them, they were the uglyiest of patterns from the 70s in the box. But once I sewed them into the yo-yos, they were gorgeous! I don't think I will complain about the ugly colors or patterns of fabric anymore, because I will just make them into yo-yos! LOL
Thank you Carmen and Karolyn.
I ironed a bunch of the fabric I washed last week last night. Then I cut a bunch of circles so I can start sewing today. I will still have to iron more fabric and cut it, but I figure this way I don't get too bored doing the same thing day in and day out.
