Sail away, she said to me
Across the open endless sea
Under bright stars in the sky
We’ll be together, you and I
Leave all of your fears behind
And we shall be one heart, one mind
Yes, my dear, I’ll sail with you
There’s nothing else I’d rather do
For we need a place to rest
From this world of countless threats
With you I do not fear to go
Wherever the winds may blow
Yet I was afraid to part
I let the doubt sink in my heart
In my soul I felt the guilt
Of leaving behind what I’d built
I had worked too many days
To see my castles washed away
And so despite what we had planned
My teardrops fell upon white sands
And as the sea breeze kissed my face
She drifted off on sails of lace
Alone she sailed away from me
Across the open endless sea

How rare it is to find someone who is willing to go all the way with you -- no fear, just complete freedom and trust. What an adventure. We probably all know the sense of loss and regret the "I" (he or she) felt by not taking the step to "sail away" "Across the open endless sea under bright stars in the sky". That is sad, but maybe there will be another time, another chance, hopefully.
Thank you for a wonderful experience.
sometimes, they have to go~
Very sad!
