Alot of people have a hard time accepting a strong, opinionated woman who won't back down when confronted. To me those are admirable attributes, but they scare many people, both men and women. Rosie is also loud and brash and that also turns people off. Even though I share many of her opinions... I certainly don't share all of them, but I do completely support her right to say what she wants, especially in the daily 15-20 minute The View segment that has always started off the show. The segment is called Hot Topics for a reason.
What I really find distasteful is the hatred so many people seem to have for her, and it always comes out the same..."you fat, ugly, lesbian failure." Not many other people in public life are talked about in such terms. I mean, really, if you disagree w her, fine, but exactly what does her weight and sexual preference have to do with what she's saying that you're disagreeing with? It's such prejudicial thinking.
Digital Dog, as far as I've seen, no one on Gather has mentioned anything about Rosie's sexual orientation. That doesn't bother me at all. Her hypocrisy is part of what annoys me about her.
There's a difference between a strong, opinionated woman and one who is rude and loudmouthed. Whether she agreed with Hasselbeck or not, she didn't need to talk over her, yell and shout, and butt in all of the time. If you find that interesting television, perhaps you might like the Jerry Springer show.
> "she didn't need to talk over her, yell and shout, and butt in all of the time"
I really hate that behavior and when I heard Rosie was taking over for Meredith Viera my first response was to cringe.
And no, I haven't seen anyone here on gather talk about her that way, but I have seen many Fox talking heads & Trump say exactly those words about her over and over again. If you watch/listen/read the news on just about any channel you would have too.
I hate that behavior. But, OTOH, I enjoyed hearing someone, at lastspeak back to Elizabeth's blind support of a failed president and his cooked failed policies...all of which came out of those daily repub talking points memos.
And, for the record, I have never watched Springer and don't intend to...even though your remark was only meant to be nasty.
