Addicted to or Enjoy Online Gaming?

Hehe... I started messing with Gaia Online today. Oh, dear.

I do like Solitaire on Pogo, but that's the only one I play.

I do have some I enjoy on pogo but I haven't been a member there in a couple of years.
I joined bigfishgames and get to get a game for free every once in a while for it, I decided I enjoyed those kind of games better.

I go through my moods with online gaming, sometimes I can get into it for days and other times I just don't - the same with nintendo. It just depends on where I am at in my head.

I used to be what they call a Warcraft Widow. Now, my hubby only plays 2x/week and is the guild master of his guild so he has total control over that particular group. That way the team all has a life outside of WoW and can spend time with their famlies. Most of my friends call Warcraft 'warcrack' and I know why firsthand. Although I'm the only wife in the guild that does not play...I have read articles as to why games like this are so addicting. The main reason is because it gives people the opportunity to form online relationships (kinda like Gather but more intense as people end up dating and getting married more often than here). Also, the player have a chance to at least have one part of their life they are a hero. Just like everything else, video games are great if they don't take over your life. One of my friends lost her bandmate to WoW. The girl dropped out of the band, school, and quit her job because of video games. So I guess I'm kinda anti-video games but ONLY when that's all you do is game...

I was seriously addicted to Ultima Online (UO) for about 2 years. I literally spent hours a day on it, sucking everything of worth out of the game. After i had maxed everything and my character's life was essentially repetitive and boring, i gave away all of my goodies and quit the game.

Balance is the key, as to most things, isn't it?

I like to play games at neopets.com occasionally... but I really like to go to yahoo games and play Zuma...it's quite addicting
