Where Will You be Memorial Day Weekend?

Another holiday is here, which often translates into a day off of work and a long weekend for many.  A few years ago, after one too many Memorial Day picnics, I decided that this would be the weekend that we kick off our annual camping expeditions.  It starts the summer season, in a way, and reminds me that school will be out in the next month.  So now every Memorial Day weekend, we take a trip to the woods, to a little cabin without electricity.  It's a great way to get away from the everyday routine.

So what are your plans for this weekend?  Do you have any special traditions?

We will be spending a quiet time at home. We seldom go anywhere because the college where my husband works generally has graduation over this weekend. I hope you have a lovely weekend.

We were planning on a road trip to San Antonio this weekend, but my partner's band got a show on Sunday. They are opening for "Lucky Dube" at the Granada Theatre in Dallas (yes, it's a reggae band). Otherwise, we'll probably hang by the pool if the weather is nice, and if it's not, we'll likely work on cleaning the house (which is up for sale) and putting things on eBay and Craig's List to sell.

It sounds like everyone will be taking it easy this weekend, which is probably what we all need :) A pedicure really does sound good too!

My niece got married so the whole clan was in San Jose, California. It was a wonderful wedding!

I can't believe that Memorial Day has come and gone, and we are already planning for 4th of July. Summer goes by too quickly.
