Hello to all,
Hunter loves to take a walk in the park. We walk the two blocks to Benton Park and folks at stop signs gape at the 5 ft snake hanging from my arm. Hunter won't play on the playground equipment but he looks forward to slithering through the grass. He's a ball python. He's named after a literary hero of mine - Hunter S. Thompson the gonzo journalist who wrote for Rolling Stone and many other publications.
Hunter is getting ready to shed, so his skin his dull and his eyes are cloudy. He still enjoys his slither in the park.
Just pictures now.

I learned years ago to never put a constrictor snake (no matter how friendly they are) around my neck. He will actually follow me around the park (I take that as showing affection).
Hello Michelle,
Thanks. Starting out with snakes I'd recommend a ball python because they are usually very gentle, easy to feed, and it's fun to watch people's expressions when you show it off.
Next, I'll post pictures of Spiro. He's my albino corn snake (orange, red and pink).
