A post about nothing--kind of like Seinfeld! LOL I woke up this morning thinking, "I want to post something to Gather!" Yet here I sit in front of my computer, totally blank. Great. I'm a writer with writer's block and I'm not even writing a book. Is that a good thing? Is it better to have nothing to say to y'all than nothing to jot down for my characters? Perhaps.
So let's see... What am I doing in the writing arena? Well, I'm currently writing the third book in my Legends of Mynos series. I'm also writing the third book in my B*E*A*S*T* series. I just finished a Western romance entitled HIGH NOON that will be coming out to Samhain Publishing in November. It's a novella that will be featured in their Western anthology LEATHER AND LACE. I cannot wait! Westerns are my favorite genre, and writing this story was like recharging my batteries. :P

I just signed two more contracts yesterday. Both with Champagne Books, one another Western (yay!) and one a fantasy-esque plot. The Western is entitled ONCE A DREAMER, and is the first in a continuity series I'm working on with about 5 other authors regarding our heroines who rode on the Orphan Train as little girls in the late 1860's. They make a pact to meet up in Boston in 10 years because they made such a close bond on the train, so all of our stories take place in the 1870's, when they're all grown up. It will be an excellent series.
The second is a novella entitled KINDRED, about a woman who finds out she's not really human at all. She's a dragon-shifter from the land of Dragoran who was brought to Earth as a baby to hide her from assassins. Never mind that she's betrothed to the Crown Prince himself... :P
Well, that's my news. Perhaps this post was about something after all. But do you just sometimes stare at the screen hoping a topic will come to you? I'm hoping I'm not alone.

Personally, I'll just be glad to get done with all this editing this spring. Three summer releases is a lot!! Maybe this summer I can actually get some writing done. I have three historicals plotted out. If only I had the time to write them. The laments of us writers! :)
Cindy! I love this woman, folks. She's a sweetheart. And YAY on the books! And AMEN about no time to write them! LOL I think I write my books thru osmosis or something because I have no idea how I get everything done!
The novella KINDRED isn't related to my Legends of Mynos series in any way. They just have dragons in common. I wanted to try my hand at making another "mythology". We'll see how it goes...

If you don't mind reading an eBook, I suggest THE WOLVERINE AND THE ROSE, the first in my fantasy series. This book IS coming to print, but not until August 21st. It's a book that holds a special place in my heart, because the "plot" has been with me since I was 13 years old, and it was the first novel I'd ever written. So it has sentimental value. :)
But those give you a good start. Like I said, if you prefer print, my fantasy will be out in late summer from your local Borders. :)
