We have books in every room of the house. Bookcase upon bookcase. I like the idea of writing down the books you read in a notebook.

i am not as serious as u are but fairly close..i buy books more often than clothes or other luxuries..nowadays i do more online coz the prices are good. love going to bookstore even if i am not buying anything..just the sight of so many books neatly stacked and the smell of fresh paperback edition makes me happy..

I have many, many books too. They're in every room of my house with the ones I don't have room for packed away in boxes in my garage (yep, where my car *should* be parked if there was room for it) patiently awaiting the day I have room for all the shelves I'll need to display all of them. Every so often, I feel an urge to read a particular book I've packed away and spend my afternoon digging through boxes to find the one I want. I've started making lists to keep at the top of each so I can see at a glance if the one I want is in a particular box.

I keep a list of the books that I have read too. Actually, I even list the month that I finished it and the year it was first published! I am starting a database of all the books that I own as well.

I have always been a reader and grew up in a house full of books. I covet them. My dream house would have a library. I don't care about how many bathrooms, the view, etc., I just want a library!

Let's see, my books.....Well I had a rather large collection of Hollywood books. There were some signed biogs, histories and such all about the pre- 1940's era in film, but I lost those to a bad relationship. Now that I have started over, I am leaning toward the classics.

I read a biography of F. Scott Fitzgerald and it had a huge list of books that were a big influence on him. One by one, I am collecting those.

I am a big fan of Library book sales. I don't mind if a book has been loved a little and it allows me to get so many more than when they are full retail.

Has it taken over my life?? It has certainly taken over my closet and under both beds in my house. I have been on the search for the perfect bookcase, but when I finally find it, I will need two or three.

It's extremely hard for me to part with books once I have them in my possession!!

My son and I both are complete book lovers. Neither of us can get rid of books. We want to paint my son's room but the books are a problem. We've already moved 10 boxes of books out and there must be at least 5-6 more to go. I don't know what to do with all of the books except get more shelves.

My husband isn't a reader, so he doesn't understand my love of books. He just hates having books all over the house.

At one time I had to buy every new Stephen King book as soon as it came out, in hard cover only! Now I'm more into having certain Children's books in hardcover (Beatrix Potter, Winnie-the-Pooh) and my own collection has dwindled down. But I have books that I feel I can never get rid of and if they are not in my bookcases in my living room or den, they are carefully stored in boxes in my attic.

I love books also but am not so intent on buying them. I am a weekly visitor to the valley library which is near my home and an occasional visitor to the downtown library. I LOVE going to bookstores though. Am nearing my 2nd Borders card and then will have 2 to spend at the same time. Don't know how I will decide what to buy.

I used to keep track of what I had read but don't do that any longer. I do have a list on my computer of books I WANT to read.

My daughter and her husband are voracious readers and have books all over their house! They have taken nearly all of the bookcases from my house to store their books. I am getting the one back from them now that my mom built years ago.
