A poll released today conducted by the left oriented study group, The Puhl (sp?) Group revealed something that many on the right have been saying for years and excoriated for it. The poll was taken of Muslims under the age of 30. The question was:
"Is suicide bombings an acceptable response to perceived attacks or insults to Islam?" My phrasing may be off I don't have the exact wording at hand.
The results may make you take your next mall visit wearing body armor.
26% said they approved of suicide bomb attacks and considered it a legitimate weapon to advance Islam's religious agenda.
The Muslim/terrorists apologist organizations are actually attempting to spin this as good news. I'm not being a wise-ass, they are literally saying how happy everyone should be that 76% are against strapping bombs to themselves and blowing themself up at the local mall....
There are 2.6 million Muslims in the US (legally) I have no idea how many of those are in the poll demographic age group, but let's take a wild lowball shot in the dark, just for s***s and giggles ok?
Let's say of 2.6 mill, maybe 6% are of the demographic polled that's about......138,000 or so folks who see absolutely nothing wrong with someone turning themselves into a walking claymore mines if, you know someone dissed Islam in some way or other.
Not sure about you but this scares the living **** outta me. What in he name of hell are we supposed to do with something like that?? Where is this going??
Oh yeah someone tell me again about how amnesty for 20 million illegal aliens is a good thing again??
What in the name of (God, Buddha, Allah, insert your diety of choice here) are we?? Have we become freakin France????? Are we going to political correct ourselves into oblivion??? We are like some guy walkin through a bar getting bitch-slapped by someone over and over again and responding by thankin the guy and askin for another.... I am really beginning to fear that enough people will not, either wake up to the obvious or grow the balls to acknowledge and deal with it before it is too late....
Talk to me.

I hope I am misunderstanding you.
I have no doubt that these results are valid and you are quite right to have the #$%^& scared out of you - me too.
Is Palm Springs a more colloboration inducing place?
;-)
These muslims are pit bulls, and should be treated as such. They can't be trusted, and we don't have the time to interview them all, with Iran on it's way to a nuke.
Wake up.
You also used the term "christian americans" in a way that implies a parallel with the militant Islamists. Wow. I didn't realize I've been missing all of the Christian suicide bombings going on. Guess I'll have to watch more news.
Quite simple really. The bad ones are the most dangerous.

By the way, the organization that conducted the poll is the Pew Research Group.
Optimism is great; but it can be just as blinding as hatred.
Like I said I don't know what we are supposed to with information like that.......Other than invest in kevlar, it may become the playstation 3 of this holiday season..............."Deck the halls with belts of C4, boom a boom a boom a bang bang bang..."
I have now also finally accepted this to my "Everything" group, sorry for any delays...
You would be doubly damned doing what you suggested Karen. First off you are a woman. In Islamic culture that makes a little bit higher up the food chain than the family parakeet or goldfish, but certainly not near equal to men of the mosque. You (as a muslim woman) are expected to not initiate conversation with unrelated men unless you are spoken to by one first. Here's another little known Islam factoid, while not actually Islamic "law" it is culturally acceptable if not encouraged for the unmarried sister of a married woman, who dies leaving her husband a widower, to then marry him.
The American muslims are unique in that they allow women to go to school. That however is more a concession to legal issues of this country, not a sudden enlightenment.
Karen, while I admire your positive attitude and resistance to stereotyping, don't let idealism trump reality. The reality is if you did something like what you describe, there is a fairly good chance you would be allowed to walk away with all your major appendages attached and functioning. You would almost undoubtedly be followed home and at sometime in the not so distant future return from work to find a pile of ashes where your residence wonce stood or worse an uninvited guest waiting for you in your house. Islam has zero tolerance for dissent. Witness the 3 sects of Islam who are merrily blowing themselves and any poor soul, who happens to be within 50 yards of them, to pieces. The closest equivalent I can think of would be a blood turf war between the Baptists, Methodists and Lutherans
As unpleasant as it sounds to American ears we ARE now, and will be for the foreseeable future, engaged in a religious war. The longer WE refuse to acknowledge that reality the more "infidels" (non-muslims) will die. The ultimate goal od Islam is worldwide monotheism overseen by the mullahs. Governed by strict Islamic law. (that means the last couple pictures you published of yourself.....would get you publicly stoned to death)
Sorry, ugly but true
This 17 year old girl was stoned to death for staying out all night. Perhaps Karen should take a look at the video. It's pretty graphic. I also think that it's pretty horrifying that someone just stood around filming this barbaric act. But, I understand that Hussein routinely videoed acts of torture. I guess it gets pretty exhausting, what with all the torturing and stoning, and sometimes you just want to relive those precious moments on tape.
I couldn't watch all of it myself, but have at it ........ if you dare.
Um, I think that Karen won't watch it because she'd prefer to keep her head in the sand and think about the "good in people". Ah, to be young, pretty, and naive. I wouldn't mind reading what she has to say in about 20-25 years.
I just wrote a short article about my thoughts regarding this matter myself.
