I hate waiting.

I went to turn in my hubbys monitoring device today.  The results come back on Thursday.  For those of you who don't know my husband had a camera placed in his esophogus on Friday.  It was put there to measure the ph level in his stomach.  More likely than not, he will have to have surgery.  I just don't like the waiting (and the anticipation that goes along with it), until the results come back.  I am worried because he hasn't been able to eat much and it is causing him to loose a lot of weight.  I have been giving him chewable vitamins at night (he can't take regular vitamins because he has trouble swallowing), so he gets enough nutrients.  I also wanted to say thank for all the wonderful thoughts and prayers and I hope the wait goes by quickly.

Tell your fears to his doctor. He will be able to explain this more to you and your husband and alleviate any of the fears you are having right now. The waiting is hard, I can understand this totally. Take a deep breath.

best of luck. I seem to remember chewable adult vitamins were acidy (word?). What about the liquid drinks?

By all means keep us up to date on how he AND YOU are doing! Remember "One Day at a Time." We can't change yesterday and tomorrow isn't here yet.

Try liquids milk shakes, and powdered vitamins; there are some products you can get in grocery stores, which got for my mother but they taste terrible unless you keep them really cold in refrigerator.

I will pray as well. I think that God uses waiting to remind us that He's still God. Just remember that He's always available for prayers & always listening.
