Chocolate Fondue

I have been thinking of a chocolate fondue for quite some time. My daughter Amy has told me a couple of times how she had a couple when she had friends in .Her friend served a chocolate fondue when we were out to her place. She had used melted Mars bars. I was kind of disappointed; it was more caramel and nougat then chocolate. So yesterday I went shopping and decided it was time for a fondue of my own. I started with a package of Jersey Milk chocolate bars and a container of mixed fruit. Today we went looking for recopies, there didn't seem to be real simple ones. So I ended up melting 3 broken chocolate bars, about a half cup of chocolate chips, and a 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup of sweetened condensed milk. I melted this for 30 seconds at a time in the microwave. I think we got about a 1 cup and a half of sauce to dip with. It was pretty good, but I am still going to be on the look out for a better recipe.

How sweet it is. But do we really need all that chocolate? Of course we do. And even if you go overboard and it does us in, I can hear Peter at the Pearly Gates : "Don't tell me, chocolate fondue - you are the tenth one today." Just remember you are in good company. And remember: "The family that sticks together becomes one gooey chocolatety mess.
