SUNDAY

My Sunday started at church.  We have three priests at my church and all three gathered around me and just hugged me.  I guess I look pale today and look tired but I was surprised at thier attention.  They asked me what plans I had for today and when does the radiation begin.  I told them my next appt with the doctor is the 24th.  We all held hands and prayed for a moment and I went into the church to take my seat.  It was a nice service and I felt refreshed.

On Saturday I cleaned out my closets and my pantry, and fridge.  I had several loafs of bread and boxes of cereal so after church I headed to the river to feed the ducks and geese.  It was fabulous and sunny, I sat a rock ledge and dangled my feet just above the water.  Geese and ducks alike came and even hopped up on the ledge to take food and gulp it down.

After feeding the ducks I went on a riverboat cruise on the Fox River.  The river was calm and the sun was shining.  I went to the upper deck and relaxed as we moved slowly up the river.  I smiled as my geese and ducks friends slowly swam around the river.  I felt warm and comfortable it was a wonderful relaxing experience. 

After the cruise I went to local place to eat and had Tuna Steak and shrimp.  Needless to say I am stuffed.  It was my day to play hookie and I did just that.

On a funny note I had to get a new cell phone today.  I put mine in the washer yesterday.  I switched to Cingular and got a really nice phone.  So we shall see if they are better than my other provider.  Yes I had the service plan and the insurance but they would not simply give me a phone I had to send away and jump thru 15 hoops.  I figured what the heck for 10 more dollars a new phone.

Ahhh the weekend was great!
