Helen Keller said: "When one door of happiness closes, another one opens; but we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us."
Have you found yourself lamenting the fact that a job or a relationship didn't work out? Have you tried time and time again to resurrect something that perhaps wasn't meant to be or that has out-lived its purpose? I think we all have. We've all wanted a relationship to work out well and to live "happily ever after."
But suppose there is a new relationship or job that is right for you? If you continue to place your attention on the closed door, you won't see it.
If right now you are feeling sad and that there is no hope, trust that there is a door that is open to you. There is always hope. Open your mind and your heart to the possibilities and ask God to show you the opportunities that are right for you.

only it is sometimes too good to be true ...
too many people are suffering
too many children are dieing
too many elderly are sick without medication
too many impoverished are without food & shelter
... and yet we go on ... blessing ourselves ... trying to make ourselves feel good ... blessed ... prosperous ... entitled ...
while our worldwide leaders take advantage & keep lining their own pockets ...
need I go on ??? ... ???
... yet I realize what a blessing it is to be able to wake up & thank God for all the goodness that has been provided ... call me heartsick ... heartbroken ... sometimes I just don't enjoy it all -
I try to stay focused on the positive, just as you do, and know that even if I don't have control over what is happening in the world, I can control how I choose to react to it. Life is an opportunity for us to learn lessons and to learn who we are. Once we get in touch with the truth of our being, the challenge is to live our lives in accord with that truth.
I have absolutely everything I could possibly want ... not petty desires - but the heart of it all ... I have the best of God according to my day & my purpose of being ... but I actually 'hurt' because of the 'heartbeat' that I cannot always help the next person ...
does that make sense?
