Each painting has it's own challenges. As I was discussing with another artist, paintings are like puzzles. Some are easy to solve, and some are hard to solve and some you can't solve at all. I've had a painting sitting on my easle for months. I finally started working on it again so my boyfriend could have his blanket back. I don't blame him. I really thought I'd be done with this painting in a day or two. Unfortunately I didn't think to take a photo from the way it was left for the last 2 months. I will post the photo of how it looked when I started again today, and how it looked after working on it for a couple of hours. I'm almost done I think. This is one of the most challenging paintings I've ever done. It's acrylic on gessoed canvas for those of you who care about such things.
Update: I'm pretty sure I'm done. I'll post the lastest version to the photos on the right. Thanks for your comments.

I also find it very hard to keep my still life items away from my cats. The fuzzy darlings LOVE to knock things off tables and shelves!
I will have to go through all your artwork posts at some point, I think. Very interesting stuff.
