Along the highway not far from the house we 'spotted' another mare and foal. It was impossible to pass the scene without pulling over and trying to capture it for Gather horse lovers.

The proud mother 'spotted' me and the foal sensed her increased tension.
Just in case there needed to be a quick retreat, little one made ready.
My presense at that distance was acceptable to mom, and soon they were back to the normal all important tasks of grazing, and napping. While these photos can't answer the question for us, do you know how to determine whether this is a leopard appaloosa or a leopard paint?

But I do see horses and occasionally a colt when I drive past a place that boards horses and gives riding lessons. Once in a while, while walking a trail in a forest preserve, I meet someone horseback riding on a riding trail. Now when I see a horse, I always think of you and Tonia and Sonata and all your other pals.
Actually I have no clue but the photos are lovely.
