Dreams of loved ones

  I knew it would happen I just didn't know it would be so soon. i woke up from dreaming about my grandmother. It has only been a little over a month since she died. I guess it is her way of checking up on me. I'm not sure. It was like a family get together nothing sad or anything everyone was in a good mood no fighting or anything. My cousin and my aunt from Atlanta were down visting. I have dreamed of my granddad after he died but it was a good while after he died before I ever had any dreams about him. So this dream sort of shocked me.

I too believe it is their way to check in on you. I still dream of my Grandma and she has been gone for nearly 18 years.

I had dreams after each grandparent died as well.
It was like being able to say goodbye & I love you, one last time.
I like those kind of dreams!!

it shocked me I think because it was the first time it happened to me so soon. I have had dreams about my grand dad after he died but it was a good while after this was just a week or 2 after.thanks for your response Lisa :)

shocking reminders, ....... they the near dear ones (the grandold people) are all living in different plain .....
it's true as be have difficulty moving or communicating due to solid looking body .....
tyey have a subtle one to make us feel !!!!!

I belive it. I was happy in a way because she was in pain from lung and throat cancer so to see her in my dream made me feel as if she was alright.

Someone else just wrote about this and I commented on it. I have dreams about a dear friend who passed 7 years ago. We talk about what's going on. Strange, I know but it's a comfort to me.

YeaH My grandmother died thes year the day after Easter. her birthday was Yesterday on August the 13th and my birthday is on August 15. I am sure there will proberly be more dreams of her thanks for your comment Bobbi

I have only had a couple dreams of my mother and son after they died. The first dream I had about each of them was a comforting dream telling me that they loved me and that everything was alright. I have only dreamed of them a few times after that. My mom passed away in 1994 and my son Dustin August 27, 2003. I don't remember if I had dreams about my father or not. He passed away in the late 70's.

I didn't dream of her but every now and then I can almost feel her smile at me or hear her raspy laugh.

It is comforting dreaming of lost loved ones. Sometimes though mine are so real. When I wake up. I have to look around and think where and when I am.. I dont like those kind at all....

My grampa died years ago, and he still comes and visits with me in my dreams occassionly, we eat cake and catch up on stuff. Last he visited me was over a year ago though, a few days before my wedding.

10+++ My child looks up in bed talking to nobody. We asked him who he is talking to he said, Gram. It is strange because he is advanced for a 4 mo. old he does everything but walk.

I dreamed about my dad after he passed as well, it is comforting in an odd way. It made me feel good, and I still remember the dream with a smile.

I believe they are messages from our loved ones that have passed over, saying I remember the good times when we were together as a family. Some say past lives, fears and joys are connected to dreams also. My granfather visited me after he passed, he sat on the side of my bed, and could actually feel his hand and fingers on my leg, of course I freaked out, but I knew it was him. He died August 26th, 1988, we were close, and a great role model.Shelly
