Russia accused of 'cyber-war'

ESTONIA'S government yesterday compared recent cyber- attacks against the nation's websites to an act of war and said Russian involvement could not be ruled out.
Jaak Aaviksoo, the defence minister, said about a million computers worldwide were used over more than two weeks to cripple government and corporate sites in the Baltic country.
Estonia has been locked in a bitter dispute with Moscow over the removal of a Red Army statue from the centre of the capital city of Tallinn.
"We identified the initial attacks [as coming] from Russian governmental offices," Mr Aaviksoo said.
