Rudy Giuliani is no hero.
While he is often called the hero of 9/11, the truth is that Rudy was a terrible leader during his years as mayor of New York City.
He made bad decisions and took a girlfriend while being married.
In fact, he even wanted his lover to live in the same house with his wife.
Most people would call this perverted.
New Yorkers were so sick of his antics, that they wanted him out of office.
Then came 9/11.
The only reason people call Giuliani a hero today, is because he just happened to be NYC's mayor during that bad time.
Any mayor would be looked at as a hero if they showed their face under those circumstances.
If there was no 9/11, Rudy would have become a joke.
This is not the kind of leader we want in the White House.
In closing, the New York Post reported in their paper on April 23, that Giuliani spent more than $48,000 dollars of campaign money on posh hotels while claiming to have spent the least of all the Republican candidates.
Rudy is a good time leader, and does it with other people's money.

Rudy would not be my choice.
Namaste, Wayne
Rudy's antics are well known in New York.
By the way, everything I wrote is the truth, and I feel it all needs to be put out there for the many people who do not know the real Rudy.

I have to agree with you.
This bears repeating. A platform based almost solely upon "I was mayor when New York was attacked" is doomed to failure.
In David Dinkens' last year in office there were 2085 murders in New York. In Giuliani's first year that number dropped to 1561, then to 1177, and on down until 1998 when the number fell below 700 where it's stayed ever since. There are also about 75% fewer grand larcenies than in 1994.
There was an effort to reform welfare. Result: 50 percent fewer welfare claimants in 2001 compared with 1993. He simplified the budgeting process. He dealt strongly with unions and other interest groups. By the end of the first term things were looking pretty good. His second term was lackluster and full of drama until 9/11, I'll give you that.
And as a DA, he wasn't half bad either.
It is not about the wife cheating.
That is his business.
However, when he wanted his girlfriend to live in the same house as his wife, then we have to question his morals as a leader.
When he was mayor of NYC, Rudy did some good things, but he also did many bad things as a leader, and his rating before 9/11 was very, very, low.
He likes to spend money, and sides with big money people.
To sum up my honest view of how New Yorkers feel about Rudy, then you should consider this:
If Rudy wins the Republican Party's nomination, and Hillary wins her nomination, who do you think New York will vote for?
I say Hillary 2 - 1, or close to it.
Hillary would also take California, much of the South, and the edge states.
That leaves Rudy with must wins in Texas, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Ohio, and Florida.
I don't see it.

Yes, New York's rate went down a lot, but so did the rate in most states during that time.
Crime went down in the U.S. on the average.
This man scares me silly.
"Thank God George Bush is president!"
That one statement speaks volumes.
He is a boot licker!
