Well maybe I got someone "p.o.'d" - I had 387 friends earlier this afternoon; now I have 386...Go figure! I am up to 1,120 points - a good jump over the past couple of hours. Just makes ya wonder how sensitive a person might be. What can I say................peace.
Oh! Phoo! Don't worry about it Jared!! It's no big deal. I don't even pay attention. If they don't want me for a connection ~ well ~ so ~ I'm keeping you for a connection! :o)
Jared, I think lots of people clean house once in a while. If a connection is not commenting on their stuff, they just delete them and find someone else who isn't too busy. It's all about being connected to the right people.
Only a true narcissist would be upset about losing 1 connection out of 387, especially considering that you don't even know the name of the connection you lost. I wonder if you actually know any of the connections you have, or are they all just a part of your collection.
Yup, I guess it may be all innocent. It's just that I spoke my mind rather strongly earlier today on a comment and wondered if I had ruffled someone's feathers too much. Generally a "whatever......" thought would enter my mind. Today, it just left me curious. I appreciate all of you!!!
I have 420 connections at the moment...and have lost at least 30 in the past three months since I've been writing. Either they left Gather altogether or they didn't care for something I said. Either way, if they drop out of my network, they weren't worth being in it in the first place, so I say good riddance when they go. Actually, most who have dropped out have been because I don't care for their constant whining of over a year now of wanting things done their way on Gather and Gather not buckling under to their "spoiled brat" antics. Idiots like that I don't need in the first place. I, for one, don't clean out my connections, even if they don't comment. They may be reading my works and I just don't know because of no comment. It's not hurting anything leaving them even if they are inactive. And I can name each person who has left; even the ones who were phoney profiles or made-up second or third screen names. In 3 months/90 days, I have in excess of 10,300 points, so I guess I'm doing okay without them in my network in the first place.
Sometimes I connect and find that I really dont have anything in common with them so I just disconnect. I try to read as much as possible and if I dont see someone in a while, I just go look for them on my connections and see whats happening. Just because I dont comment doesnt mean I dont read you. Time constraints force me to just read sometimes and comment other times. So its probably nothing too serious, Jared. Keep plugging away!
