birthday wishes for Anne Marie (hsmom)

Hi Gang,

Today is Anne Marie (hsmom) birthday.  Anne Marie has been gracious enough to do

her own birthday celebration questions to take the pressue off of me.  I am currently

working on a writing assignment for 20 articles on mesothelioma.  But enough said about

me.  We are celebrating Anne Marie's birthday.  Here is her story.

I am 38 years old today and married with two children currently residing in Chattanooga,

Tennessee.
 
I stay at home to home school my two children.
  
I started writing poetry in high school. I am going to have my first article published in a

mental heath journal this summer.
 
I was inspired to write because of an assignment a teacher gave which was to write a

poem for English class.

I enjoy knitting, learning more about digital photography and taking pictures, occasionally

scrap booking, and writing.

I love swimming and just about anything to do with water. I enjoy meeting new people

and learning new things from religion to history etc.

I hate when people drive up so close behind you like they are trying to be a nascar race

car driver. I don't like it when someone wears too much cologne or perfume like they

actually took a bath in it because it smells so strong.
  

Child abuse concerns me the most because society should be compassionate and care

about all children. I think I am disturbed by the fact that millions of people in the world

do not have easy access to clean water. The most basic human need should be a right

for every human being.

There are many events that shape us into who we are. Struggling on and off for over

20 years with chronic depression has shaped who I am. Suffering two miscarriages

and losing three babies in the second trimester changed my life. There are many events

that I could list, but the important thing is that I think they have shaped me to be a more

compassionate person.

The one thing that to do that I have not already done, is to see the Pacific Ocean and

visit a few friends on the west coast.

My sweet sixteen was a special birthday. I was given a surprise party and got my

driver's license all in the same day.

If I could have a birthday wish come true, I would like to have a poem published

somewhere reputable and not one of those poetry contests where they try and sell

you the book with your poem in it.

Happy birthday Anne Marie from all your friends at gather, we hope we have made

your day a memorial one.

Note to the birthday club members.  If you have not yet submitted your birthday

dates to me please to so.  I need to prepare well enough in advance.

Furthemore, when I send you the questions to do your celebration I need to have

them back, at least one day prior to your birthday.
