I agree with this. Though sometimes people will comment that you are too stubborn, but what's wrong with standing firm? Should we just follow here and there when anyone said anything? I wish more people would stand up for what they claim to believe. You don't need to first gain a large stage to do so. You can make a large difference in this life just for doing seemingly small things, such as standing up for your convictions in front of your friends. although there may be a chance you could lose their company. It is the best way to live comfortably with yourself.
