When my daughter was 14 years old, we went back to New York. We visited old cemetaries that dated back to the 1600's. We also visited and paid our respect to family members who had passed.
My daughter finally whined, "All we're doing is visiting cemetaries. There are only dead people left that you know?"
"Hush," I joked, "You'll wake Grandma."
We were standing over my mother-in-law's grave who died in 1967 in childbirth. My daughter was growing restless. That's when she noticed that the dry cleaner across the street had the same name as her middle name.
"Mom, look. That dry cleaner has my . . . Oh, you didn't?
Yes, I did.
My daughter's middle name is Jolene named after Jolene's cleaners across from the cemetary.

I have way too many, and their all family names. Whats worse, is I have had to live with the ill effects of teachers who expected as much from me, due to my name!
I think, Arianna Sophia, is really pretty. Better than, Wolfgang Gottlieb....
At least the best part it the "Von".
