I have been trying now for about 2 months to make my 17 month old give up his bottle. But something or the other keeps coming up and he gets his bottle.
He has only 7 teeth till now. He was 6 weeks premature too. when I stop his bottle, he doesnt drink as much milk as required. Doctors say he should get atleast 16 oz of milk but he does not get that.
If i bottle feed him, he easily takes 18-24 oz milk and also eats his dinner and lunch and snacks.
Please help me in this.
Also we are planning a vacation around next month. Is it better to wait untill after the vacation to make the transition from bottle to cup or sipper?
Thanks so much in advance.

There will be a few tough days, but baby will handle it. Baby and those chompers will be far healthier because of it
btw, i loved the book series: "what to expect when you're expecting" and on thru the book series into toddlers and kids. there was some excellent advice in those books. you can check them out on amazon.com or in your local bookstores. i've even seen them for sale at the CVS pharmacies. i don't get any residuals, i just like the series.
Give baby milk, have at it. I did mine, but nutritionally speaking your Dr is handing you a handful of falsehood.
Got to learn not to take their word for everything.
Good luck
