My Mother's Day Flowers

I had to share this!

Anthony got me a basket filled with 6 different Dendrobium Orchid plants (in pots) and there are several other plants in it. They were being sold at the mall Friday by the growers.

The lady added some other greenery and also a sprig of varigated miniature holy, which Anthony hopes to root and see if it will grow.

;-)) Jackie, you're too funny.......this is NOT a contest! Orchids just happen to be quite inexpensive here.....! LOL and since they keep on growing and bloom everyyear, we rather get them than cut flowers!

Cut flowers are beautiful, but I have a hard time enjoying them. I can't stop thinking about the expense and their impending death.

I'm sure those ones will last a long time! Not at my house, of course, but they should thrive at yours!

Wonderful bouquet! I'm listening to the Jeff Rense program which is interviewing a lady from Hawaii now. I got Mom a nice flowering almond bush, but we're going to have to trim the other overgrowth above it, so it will get more sunshine. You sure live in a paradise -- I love the macadamia nuts and so many other healthy tropical delights. Enjoy the bounty, and thanks for the nice post!

I all all flowers too Jacquie but like you hate to cut them...Rather have a live plant any time! We will probably tie these on trees after they finish blooming.

Linda, clematis are so beautiful!!! I can't grow them here, except as a potted plant, and even then, they don't do well for me! Enjoy your beautiful plant!

How neat, Sonia! I've seen a few of the small white orchids ( aren't they called "moth" orchids?) but never so many different ones as you have.
My blessed children gave me herb plants (yay!) cut flowers, AND a bale of peat moss! (double yay!)

Katrina, there is a white orchid called moth orchid, but it isn't in this family.....I too received some small potted herbs from my friend Barbara after I did the demo herb class at her garden on Saturday! We will be planting them in our garden today!

Thanks, Moggy!....we moved them already and planted them into a blue & white porcelain Oriental planter we have.....they look stunning there and hope they will do well and bloom again for years to come!
