Crowning of Mary, St. John the Baptist R.C. Church

O Queen of the Holy Rosary,
O bless us as we pray,
And offer thee our roses
In garlands day by day,
While from our Father's garden,
With loving hearts and bold,
We gather to thine honor
Buds white and red and gold.

On May 13^th at the Church of St. John the Baptist in Wading River, New York, children who had just received their First Holy Communion on the previous day processed after the 9:15 Mass to crown the statue of Mary outside the church.

Bring flowers of the rarest
bring blossoms the fairest,
from garden and woodland and hillside and dale;

the praise of the loveliest flower of the vale!
