(formatting seems to be a little tricky...)
Karen, Thank you.
The Gather photo formating/publishing tool is a little tricky ... :)
[I just noticed I got the Date Wrong on that first photo... It should be 2002 ... I suppose I'll do another edit.... arrrgggh...]
glad you enjoyed them... :)
you can see more dive photos if you follow that link at the bottom of the piece...
Thanks for your comment...

How special...
The individual did not feel the need or muster the fortitude to indicate what displeased them...They seem to have done the same to all my articles ...
hmmmmmmm.... hmmmmmmm....
I can only assume someone is upset about something or other.... ;)
Best,
DJE
Thank you greatly for your comment and the ones on the individual photos!
Mosquito Bay does sound discouraging (maybe it's on purpose) and parts are mucky and a bit smelly (the mud) but it is worth seeing far beyond any of those discouragements!
At night, without a moon is best, it is like being in outerspace. The water is alive with sparkling lights.
They are tiny dinoflagelates, (no, that's not dinosaur gas!) ... one celled algae organisms that bioluminess... they light up... when disturbed in the water. The mucky mangrove mud and restricted flow of the bay make it a perfect place for it. It's on of the brightest ones in the world.
How much time underwater? ... Not enough!!! :)
Best,
DJE
Salud
Just awesome photos.
David have you ever dove in Panama?
You have to go if not.
(sorry this is a bit late)
That's very cool! Do they do the surveys for the REEF organization. They do good work and their surveys provide a lot of information. They do the Great American Fish Count I believe.
I'm not IN the Navy but I worked WITH the Navy a lot.
It's always been my intention to do what I can.
Thanks again...
Great pictures. Looks like a lot of work, and a lot of fun.
What do you do at Gitmo?
Nothing to do with torture, I hope.
